In the field of water treatment, PAM has become a "main force" in sewage purification by virtue of its excellent flocculation performance. Especially in the tertiary oil recovery technology, the thickening and oil-displacing properties of PAM help oilfields break through the exploitation bottleneck. With the help of this technology, some old oilfields have increased their recovery rate by 5%-10%, providing technical support for the efficient development of energy.


In addition, PAM also plays an important role in the papermaking industry. As a paper strength agent and retention aid, PAM can enhance the binding force between paper fibers, reduce paper breakage, and at the same time improve the retention rate of fibers and fillers in pulp, thereby reducing raw material loss and wastewater discharge. The relevant person in charge of a papermaking enterprise introduced that after introducing PAM, the yield rate of finished paper has increased by nearly 8%, and the pressure of papermaking wastewater treatment has been significantly reduced, which is in line with the development trend of green production in the current industry.
